Connecting to a Centralised Exchange

Centralised Exchanges and connecting them to the Issuer Application

A centralized exchange is a platform that allows for the buying, selling, and trading of tokens. Exchanges act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, and typically require users to create an account and go through a verification process in order to use their services. The exchange holds the user's funds in a central location and is responsible for executing trades on behalf of the user.

A deposit wallet on a centralized exchange is a digital wallet that is associated with a specific user account on the exchange. It is used to store and manage digital assets, such as tokens, that are deposited by users for the purpose of trading or holding.

Important: The CEX deposit wallet is controlled by the centralized exchange, and users do not have direct access to their deposit wallets. The CEX holds the private keys, so it's important to make sure to choose a reputable exchange and be aware of the risks of custody of assets on a centralized platform.

Intro:

The Centralized Exchange (CEX) feature allows investors to transfer tokens from their wallet whitelisted in the Investing platform, to the wallet provided by the CEX (deposit wallet).
This functionality is part of the secondary market, since includes transactions between investors.

Benefits:

By setting up a partnership with a centralized exchange, you can add liquidity to your security token by allowing investors to add funds and trade other assets such as stablecoins or cryptocurrency.

This partnership can provide benefits such as high trading volumes and many active users, which can make it easier for them to buy or sell tokens quickly at a fair price.

Additionally, centralized exchanges offer a wide variety of trading pairs, making it convenient for users to find the tokens they are looking for and execute trades.
