Investor statuses from sign-up to investment
There are several different stages or statuses of an investor as they move through the Qualification module and later to the investment platform.
The first steps require the user to create an account on the Qualification module. This places them into Recorded status. This is the equivalent of the user just signing up on the platform. If the user is from a banned or restricted country they will enter the Banned status at the sign up stage.
Signed up - The user has created an account but hasn't taken any steps into the actual Qualification module yet.
Banned: This investor is from a restricted country.
Once they start to fill in various elements of the Qualification module they will enter a new status Registering.
Registering - The user is entering data for each qualification section.
In the list of Candidates, you can see exactly which section they are on in the field labelled "Current Section".
Once they have entered all their information the investor and submitted the data, they will enter Pending status.
Pending - An investor will remain in this status until they are fully verified.
This depends on the method by which you, as the issuer choose to qualify investors. Whether this is by manual approval or by a third-party KYC provider. For the purposes of this document, we will assume that the Issuer is managing the KYC.
In this case, it will require you to manually approve them from the Candidates section of the Issuer application. Once their information is correct and verified, you can select "Qualify" from this screen and the investor will enter this new status Qualified.
Qualified - This status means that an investor is fully qualified and ready to invest in tokens.
In case the users' information is incorrect you can Reject the investor and they will enter the Rejected status.
Rejected - The investor has been rejected, their information was incorrect or inadequate and they will be unable to invest in the token.
